Newsletter June 2010

Dear Parents,

Welcome back, hope you all had a good half-term.  This term’s theme will be Summer Time & Holidays, to include talking about going on holiday (with lots of holiday pictures), holiday travel, kites, and some cooking activities.

The children had lots of fun last term with their sponsored obstacle course.  They all waited their turn and cheered their friends on.  They were all great.  Could you please bring in any sponsor money you have collected, and thanks to the ones that have already sent their money in.

The photographer will be here on Wednesday the 16th of June at 9.30am and 12.30pm.  Siblings or other family members welcome.

Parent’s evening will be Thursday the 1st of July, from 5.00pm – 7.00pm.  A chance to talk to your child’s keyworker and get an update on their progress.  Please fill in the slip and return, and we’ll book a time for you.  If this is not convenient we can arrange for you to speak to your child’s keyworker at a better time for you.

Sports day will be on Monday and Tuesday the 5th and 6th of July.  Parents are invited to come and watch.  Children will be rewarded with ice cream, stickers, and certificates.

The last 2 days of term, the 22nd and 23rd of July, will be party days.  We will be asking for a small donation of food – a list will go up nearer the time.

Please let us know as soon as possible if, and where, your child is going to nursery, or if they will be staying with us.  If so, will you be requiring any additional sessions.

As the weather is getting warmer please could you provide your child with a named sun hat and put sun cream on your child prior to coming to playgroup according to the weather.  If you forget to put sun cream on your child please let a member of staff know and we will put sun cream on your child before they go out into the garden.

Can we remind you not to being any nut or egg products onto the premises as we have a child with an allergy to these.

From September 2010 our fees will be increased (for the first time in 2 years) to £10 per session.  If you have any concerns or questions about this please speak to Sharon.

With Thanks, Sharon & Staff
