Newsletter April 2010

Dear Parents,

Welcome back.  We hope you had nice break.

The theme for this term will be mini-beasts, we will be looking at different kinds of creepy-crawlies each week.  Your child will be given a bug bottle during the term to bring home for you and your child to collect bugs together and bring back to playgroup for the children to observe.  This will help us extend our theme at home and your children will enjoy sharing your findings with the group, and be given a sticker for their efforts.  The children have helped with allocating a piece of the outside play area to make a garden to plant some seeds for the children to water and observe how they grow.

Our annual sponsored event will be a sponsored obstacle course, to raise money to update our equipment.  There will be a prize for the child that collects the most sponsor money.  This will take place the week commencing Monday the 10th of May.  A sponsor form is included.

As the weather is getting warmer please could you provide your child with a named sun hat and put sun cream on your child prior to coming to playgroup according to the weather.  If you forget to put sun cream on your child please let a member of staff know and we will put sun cream on your child before they go out into the garden.

Please note that Playgroup will be closed on Monday 3rd of May as it is a Bank Holiday.  Your Invoices have been amended accordingly.

If you have been offered a place at a nursery for September please could you let us know which nursery, also if your child will be staying with us and you would like additional days or to change your sessions.  Please speak to Sharon.

You have received an invoice with this newsletter.  Please make sure fees are paid on time to ensure your child’s place for the next term.  If you have any problems or questions please ask Sharon.

With Thanks

Sharon and Staff
